EASY SWEET SOY TEMPEH | VEGAN & GLUTENFREE




Aaahhh well, since you guys were SO EXCITED ABOUT THE RAINBOW TEMPEH BOWL I posted yesterday, well, let's give you a super easy sweet soy tempeh that I paired with it! This one is perfect for mealprep (honestly) and it just tastes AMAZING! Perfectly salty with a tiny sweetness ;). Here is the recipe! And who thought you could add dates to this? Well I did XD (and it's actually very common in China haha)


Ingredients:

  • 400g tempeh (1 block)

  • 3 tbsp light soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp coconut/brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp seasoned rice vinegar

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 2 slices of ginger

  • 2 dates

  • garlic powder (optional)

Method:

  1. Cut the tempeh into strips or whatever shape you like.

  2. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

  3. Add the tempeh to the marinade and cook it in a pressure /rice cooker or in a pan either until the pressure/rice cooker says I'm done or in a pan for about 10 minutes.

  4. Enjoy!
