CHAI SPICED CARAMELISED PERSIMMON OATMEAL *NEXT LEVEL* (GF + VG)






Autumn šŸ‚, the time of one of my favourite fruits aka PERSIMMON (there is a persimmon emoji needed šŸ„ŗ) and also my fav tea namely: CHAI āœØ. I woke up this morning, with this idea in my mind and I tell you, CARAMELISED PERSIMMON is NEXT LEVEL. This porridge is like fall in a bowl, with all the flavours and every bite is a bite of happiness āœØ


āœØCHAI SPICED CARAMELISED PERSIMMON OATMEAL *NEXT LEVEL* (GF + VG)āœØ

Ingredients:

ā—¾ļø 50g rolled oats @meesters_van_de_halm

ā—¾ļø 2 tsp chai spices @chukwa_cacao_husks

ā—¾ļø 250ml NOT Milk @alpro

ā—¾ļø 1 tbsp chiaseeds

ā—¾ļø 1/2 persimmon

ā—¾ļø 1 tsp coconut oil

ā—¾ļø pumpkin pie spice @koro_nl

ā—¾ļø 1/2 banana


toppings: mulberries, roasted pecans & coconut @koro_nl, 100g coconut yoghurt @abbotkinneys, chocolate @handsoffmychocolate


šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ³Method:

  1. Start by making our chai-infused milk, by adding the NOT MILK from @alpro to a pan with the chai spices. Let this simmer for about 2 minutes on medium heat.

  2. Then add in the oats, chiaseeds and let this heat up and cook for another 2-3 minutes on low/medium heat. Set aside to let all the spices incorporate.

  3. Slice the persimmon into slices and heat up some coconut oil in a pan. Add the persimmon as well as the pumpkin pie spice. Let this cook for 1 min.

  4. Add the porridge to a bowl, top with 1/2 sliced banana, the caramelised persimmon, coconut yoghurt, chocolate, pecans & coconut & mulberries and enjoy! šŸ˜Š
