5 Minute Easy Bounty Inspired Protein Balls | vegan & gluten free & sugar free *6 ingredients*

Good morning guys! HAPPY EASTER šŸ£!

I know you are probably eating Easter hot cross buns, croissants, pancakes, carrot cake and whatever else. Butttt in case you want to make something quick & healthy full of protein, I got you! This 5 minute Easy Bounty Inspired Protein Balls are literally one of my favourite snacks at this moment! The combination of the coconut & chocolate is absolutely amazing! Since I used vegan chocolate protein powder in here, the macros per ball is absolutely FANTASTIC!šŸ¤©

One of my favourite chocolate bars at this moment is definitely BOUNTY! The combination of the sweet coconut with a bit bitter chocolate is absolutely dreamy šŸ¤¤šŸ¤¤šŸ¤¤ I can literally eat this all day šŸ™ƒ! This time I made an easy protein ball recipe, as I really needed a quick pre- or post-workout snack that is full of good protein, fibre, carbs & fat! That's why the combination of the dates (carbs) + nuts (fats + protein powder (protein) is absolutely perfect! It literally takes 5 minutes and all you need is a little food processor or blender for this! Optional to skip that entirely and to chop the nuts with a knife and mash the dates with your handsšŸ˜šŸ¤Ŗ.

But Jen, what if I don't have some of the things at home?

O no... That's a pity... But I got your back! Here are some ideas for substitutes!

  • Nuts: if you have a nut allergy, I recommend using avocado or any type of seeds of choice! If you do avocado, skip the almond milk ;)

  • Vegan Chocolate Protein Powder: I used a clean @thatprotein organic cacao protein powder in this recipe, but feel free to use any brand of choice! I love the one from @myproteinnl as well! If you don't have protein powder at home, I recommend using either almond, coconut or oat flour. The protein will be slightly lower compared to protein powder, but it still works fine! Especially coconut flour is super tasty with thisšŸ¤¤

  • Dates: MY favourite! But if you don't do dates, I suggest using any other dried fruit of choice (raisins, figs...) or perhaps banana? But if you do banana I suggest adding more flour & some syrup for sweetness!

Let's get ROLLING!

5 Minute Easy Bounty Inspired Protein Balls

6 INGREDIENTS (10 balls):

(vegan & gluten-free & sugar-free)

ā°5 minutes

ā–Ŗļø100g medjool dates

ā–Ŗļø80g of nuts of choice (I used a mix of cashews, almonds & hazelnuts)

ā–Ŗļø2 tbsp of raw organic cacao powder

ā–Ŗļø40g of coconut shreds

ā–Ŗļø50g of vegan chocolate protein powder of choice*

ā–Ŗļøfew splashes of almond milk

Topping: more shredded coconut

*see section above for substitutes

Method:

1ļøāƒ£Add all the ingredients in a blender. Add enough almond milk to make it blend smooth, it depends on how soft your dates are, whether you use protein powder (also which brand) etc. The batter should be soft, but not too liquid. If that's the case, add more protein powder šŸ¤£.

2ļøāƒ£Form little balls with your hands and roll them in the coconut shreds. That's it folks!

3ļøāƒ£ENJOY! šŸ¤¤
