BLACK SESAME CHEESECAKE | VG & GF & HP






Remember that I went to Eindhoven and visited @goodteastories? I absolutely fell in love with this store and their amazing drinks & foods 🤩! Their black sesame cheesecake was just INSANE ☺️ so I thought let's recreate it! It's not exactly the same but tastes absolutely AMAZING 🤩! Pairs perfectly with a @Nekohama Matcha 🍵


Base:

◾️ 3 medjool dates @koro_nl

◾️ 1 very ripe banana

◾️ 60g oats @meesters_van_de_halm

◾️ 100ml oat milk @oatly

◾️ 30g peanutbutter @depindakaaswinkel

◾️ 1 pinch of salt


Cheesecake layer:

◾️ 300g silken tofu

◾️ 50g black sesame powder

◾️ 10g roasted black sesame seeds

◾️ 50ml maple syrup* (adjust to your own sweetness level)

◾️ 1 tsp vanilla extract

◾️ 1 tsp agar agar + 20ml water

◾️ 30g tahini


toppings: fresh strawberries & black sesame seeds


👩🏻‍🍳Method:

  1. For the base, mix all the ingredients together in a blender and pour it in a baking dish. Let this base bake in a preheated oven on 170C for 20minutes approximately until golden!

  2. In the mean time make the cheesecake layer by mixing the silken tofu, black sesame powder, roasted black sesame seeds, maple syrup and tahini together in a blender. Prepare the agar agar according to the package instructions and mix it in the black sesame mixture.

  3. Once the base is cooled, pour over the black sesame layer and let it firm up in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Serve with fresh strawberries & black sesame seeds!
